Sometimes you just need to talk to someone. Life can be hard and there are times when we are not even sure of what is getting us down. Most of the time, its from our past. Your trailer (so to speak) has become full of crap that doesn’t all belong to you.

So, come and Pull up your trailer of “stuff” and we can unpack it together.

That’s where the real work begins.

Initial consultation - 1 ½ hours          $140

Follow up sessions - 1 hour                 $120

Relationship Counselling

No large building stands tall through the storms of life, without a good foundation. Couples work helps establish that foundation that will help you both long into your relationship. Wether you are married, about to get married, newly coupled, or not even looking to get married, therapy is the best foundation your relationship will ever get.

I can help you with the tools for greater communication and self reflection.

Relationship Counselling Cost

Initial consultation - 1 ½ hours          $140

Follow up single sessions - 1 hour       $120

Follow up couple session - 1 hour       $120

The first session is an information gathering session about you as a couple and what you are presenting with. I will then usually recommend a single session for you both and ongoing couples sessions.

Adolescent Counselling

I am trained in adolescent counselling and teach the loves bites program in high schools.

I thoroughly enjoy working with teenagers and am able to connect easily.

All sessions - 1 hour                            $100

About the therapy sessions and your commitment:

 

  • Attending therapy is a huge investment into the quality of your life. It takes valuable time and money, so it is important to make the commitment to be open and honest with me. If you have any concerns about the sessions, we can discuss this and work together on your healing journey.

  • I use a person centred, trauma informed approach to counselling. I am a trained Clinical Resource Therapist and will use this modality in sessions. I also combine, CBT and Gastalt.

  • We get wounded in relationships, so we have to heal in relationships. Healing wounds requires building trust with your therapist and this can take time, so best results occur when you make and attend regular appointments.

  • By attending regular sessions, you will gain more awareness and understanding of limiting patterns of behaviour, why you developed these coping patterns and learn new strategies and ways of being.

  • Healing does not take forever, and it is a great moment for me when a client says “I think I am going ok and don’t need to come to Counselling anymore”. However, closure is important, so when you decide to complete your sessions, it is important to have a final session.

  • After completing, I like to follow up to see how you are going. After a few months I may drop you an email or SMS to touch base. Please advise if you do not want me to make further contact with you.
